This honey-processed coffee from Worka Chelchele offers a sophisticated middle ground between processing styles, delivering the crystalline clarity of a washed coffee with a more pronounced, honeyed fruitiness. By heavily depulping the cherries and bypassing traditional fermentation, the producers have preserved the “style and grace” of the Gedeb region—specifically those delicate, tea-like florals and sparkling citrus notes. It is an elegant expression of southern Ethiopian terroir, balancing the refined sweetness of stone fruits with the iconic jasmine aromatics unique to the area’s high-altitude heirloom cultivars.
